Today, we gathered in Peja to celebrate the successful implementation of “Empowering women entrepreneurs in Dukagjini Region” project, implemented by Women’s Business Association She-ERA in partnership with UN Women, UNDP, and funded by EU.
26 women from the municipality of Peja received equipment to support their exsiting businesses and #StartUps, and were awarded certificates upon completing the tailor-made training on Entrepreneurship, Digital Marketing, Innovation and Sales. Making in total 51 women beneficiaries in #Gjakova and #Peja.
The trainings – facilitated by Women’s Business Association SHE – ERA – have provided the women beneficiaries with new skills that will help them generate income and boost their self-confidence, as they not only get to further contribute to the household, but also create networks and build support groups.
Present at the event were also Ms. Arnhild Spence, UN Development Coordinator in Kosovo, Johannes Stenbaek Madesen, EUOK Head of Cooperation, Maria Suokko, UNDP Kosovo Resident Representative, Vlora Tuzi Nushi, Head of UN Women and Gazmend Muhaxheri, Mayor of the Municipality of Peja, who emphasised their commitment to continue supporting women entrepreneurs.
