Empowering Women Through Social Mentoring

The Women’s Business Association SHE-ERA is proud to present the life-changing effects of our current project, “Empowerment of Vulnerable Women through Social Mentoring,” made possible by the generous support of BMZ (German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development) & GIZ (German Agency for International Cooperation).

Launched in October 2024, this project addresses deep-rooted socio-economic barriers faced by vulnerable women in Kosovo. With a strategic focus on social mentoring, it has already shown powerful results just six months in.

Why it matters?

This project is more than mentorship—it’s about restoring hope, fostering dignity, and building bridges between vulnerable women and the professional world. Through cooperation with public institutions and the private sector, SHE-ERA is creating a scalable model for empowerment that can transform lives far beyond this project’s timeline.

Together, we are proving that with the right support, every woman has the power to rise.

What We've Achieved

20 Social Mentors

were recruited and trained, combining newly selected candidates with experienced mentors from past regional programs.

60 Mentees

from marginalized communities—including women with disabilities, single mothers, survivors of violence, war victims, and women from minority groups—have been selected and paired with mentors.

663 Sessions

663 one-on-one mentoring sessions have been conducted, helping mentees build confidence, gain employable skills, and take concrete steps toward economic independence.

5 Training Modules

Five training modules were delivered to mentors, and mentees received tailored soft-skills training based on detailed needs assessments.
