Beneficiary of the Program “Supporting Women Entrepreneurs in Agriculture 2012-2015” Mrs. Fatime Limaj

Limaj_1Women Entrepreneurs in Agriculture are still very thriving in their area yielding positive results after successfully finishing the three-month trainings with the topic: “How to start a successful business”.Mrs.Limaj and her family have a long tradition in some of the agricultural sectors, such as: fruit cultivation, especially strawberries both naturally and artificially, vegetable cultivation, in particular peppers, and also handcrafting. In November, 2009, Mrs.Fatime Limaj, established the association “Fatjona”, which is still operating to this day. The association “Fatjona” is managed by Fatime Limaj.   This association has 26 regular members, who during the summer season are usually engaged with vegetable cultivation and conservation, while many of them carry out handcrafting activities during the winter. In the beginning, the association was supported by the Ministry of Agriculture with seedlings, while CDF assisted with appliances needed for artificial cultivation.

“It is hard to secure market safety and stability” indicates Fatime, “because of the absence of motivating politics for small and family businesses”. It is more than necessary to continuously contribute to the advancement of production and conservation technologies, according to the market standards and requirements.

Currently, Mrs.Limaj is a member of SHE-ERA’s, and is continuously aware of our activities.
